What is the EUDR deforestation cut-off date?
31 December 2020. Commodities produced on land converted from forest to agriculture after that date are not EUDR-compliant. For timber the test is harvesting after that date without causing degradation.
Point or polygon coordinates for a plot?
Plots over 4 hectares must be reported as polygons. Smaller plots may use a point, but polygons are recommended throughout for more accurate deforestation checks.
When is the deadline for small operators?
Large and medium operators: 30 December 2026. Small and micro operators: 30 June 2027.
What is Thailand's EUDR risk classification?
Low risk, under Implementing Regulation (EU) 2025/1093 (May 2025), which entitles operators to simplified due diligence.
Can an ALRO 4-01 land document prove legal land use under EUDR?
ALRO 4-01 is a permit to use land in an agrarian reform zone, issued under the Agricultural Land Reform Act. It evidences lawful land use under Thai law, and should be kept together with plot coordinates and evidence of continuous occupation.
Which Thai agricultural labour rules are relevant to EUDR?
The Ministerial Regulation on Labour Protection in Agriculture B.E. 2557, issued under the Labour Protection Act, covers working hours, rest days, wages and child labour in agricultural work.
